In Kanker district also, the number of patients suffering from kidney disease is increasing day by day. There has been a lot of relief since the start of free dialysis for kidney patients in Government Komaldev District Hospital. For such people who are financially weak and are suffering from kidney disease, it is no less than a boon.
Free dialysis in the name of Jeevandhara was started in the district hospital from March 17, 2020. Since then, patients are continuously getting benefited from it. After starting the dialysis facility in Kanker District Hospital, not only the kidney patients of Kanker district but also of Dhamtari district are getting benefited from it. The reason for this is the non-availability of dialysis facility in Dhamtari District Hospital. Due to which patients from Dhamtari also come to Kanker District Hospital for dialysis.
Please tell that five beds are available for dialysis in the district hospital, in which dialysis of patients is being done daily. Dialysis of a patient takes three and a half to four hours. Dr Rajeev Jaiswal informed that dialysis of kidney patients is done daily in the Government Komaldev District Hospital. 250 to 300 dialysis are being done every month. He told that kidney disease is often caused by taking pain medicines without medical consultation. Do not use pain medicine without a doctor’s advice.
