Pat Cummins equaled the record of legendary Anil Kumble. Cummins has reached the second position as the captain who has taken the most wickets in an IPL season. Cummins has taken 17 wickets this season. Kumble also took 17 wickets while captaining RCB in 2010. Shane Warne tops this list with 19 wickets.
Shahbaz Ahmed and Abhishek Sharma shone in bowling
After Heinrich Klaasen’s half-century, left-arm spinners Shahbaz Ahmed and Abhishek Sharma’s spin magic helped Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Rajasthan Royals by 36 runs in the second qualifier and make it to the final. Chasing the target of 176 runs set by Sunrisers, the Royals could only score 139 runs for seven wickets despite excellent innings from Dhruv Jurel (56 not out in 35 balls, seven fours, two sixes) and opener Yashasvi Jaiswal (42). For Sunrisers, Shahbaz took three wickets for 23 runs while Abhishek took two wickets for 24 runs.
