New Delhi. A team of Punjab Police personnel reached the residence of poet and former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwas here on Wednesday to serve him a notice. An FIR under the IT Act was registered against Vishwas for allegedly tampering with a video. The police team went to his house to ask him to join the investigation.
During the Punjab assembly elections earlier this year, Vishwas, without taking names, had said that “Arvind Kejriwal wants to be the prime minister of an independent country Khalistan” and accused the AAP convener of having links with separatists in Punjab.
Vishwas warned Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Twitter, saying, “Punjab Police team was at my door early morning. I am warning Bhagwant Mann, whom I myself had inducted into the party, that in Delhi The sitting person will betray both you and Punjab one day. The country should remember my warning.”
He also posted pictures of the policemen who arrived at his residence.
