Lucknow: BSP has fielded a fluent English speaking, smart and short-haired girl from the reserved seat of Lalganj in the Lok Sabha elections. Indu Chaudhary, a faculty member of the English Department of Banaras Hindu University, has entered politics because she likes the ideology of BSP.
She says, “I will continue the mission of Mayawati and Kanshi Ram by working in the interest of the Bahujan community, as I have been doing for more than a decade.” BSP had won this seat in 2019. Party MP Sangeeta Azad joined BJP last month. Born in Nikaspur village of Ambedkar Nagar district, Indu’s childhood was spent in the Railway Colony of Lucknow, where her father worked.
He completed his schooling from a public school till Intermediate level, after which he obtained BA, B.Ed, MA and PhD degrees from Lucknow University.
While doing her doctorate, she was selected for the post of English teacher in Sainik School. He served in this school for two years. After that he was appointed as Assistant Professor in Banaras Hindu University (BHU). Apart from her academic duties, she has been active in raising the voice of social justice.
She has been vocal about the struggles of Bahujan leaders. He B.R. Emphasizes the ideals and visions of Ambedkar, Kanshi Ram and Mayawati, with the aim of raising awareness and garnering support for the Bahujan Mission.
She says, “I will work hard to take the Bahujan movement forward and no one can stop me from doing so. I am grateful to the BSP President for giving me this opportunity.”
