New Delhi. Before the Lok Sabha elections, RJD chief Lalu Yadav got two back to back shocks today. Now the party’s state vice president and former minister Brishin Patel has resigned from RJD. Earlier this morning, former RJD Rajya Sabha MP Ahmed Ashfaq Karim has also announced to leave the party. The departure of big RJD leaders from the party just before the Lok Sabha elections is certainly a matter of concern for Lalu Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav.
While resigning from RJD, Brishin Patel also targeted the party leadership. He said that I felt that there is no need for dedicated workers of Rashtriya Janata Dal. RJD has no faith in social justice and communal harmony. Therefore, with a sad heart, I am resigning from the primary membership of Rashtriya Janata Dal. However, information is also being received that Brishin Patel has resigned due to dissatisfaction over ticket distribution. Actually, Brishin Patel has been a former MP from Vaishali, Bihar. This time again Patel wanted to contest elections from Vaishali but the party did not give him the ticket and made Munna Shukla its candidate. It is believed that this could be a major reason behind his resignation. According to Patel, senior leaders are being ignored in the party and importance is being given to new people.
Earlier this morning, former RJD Rajya Sabha MP Ahmed Ashfaq Karim also made serious allegations in his letter sent to Lalu Yadav announcing his departure from the party. Ashfaq, while addressing Lalu Yadav in the letter, wrote that you kept claiming caste census and kept saying that as much as someone’s participation, so much is his share. Ashfaq has written in his resignation that even after this you have violated the rights of Muslims.
