Lara Dutta’s reaction to Modi’s speech in Rajasthan
When asked about Prime Minister Modi’s speech during the Rajasthan rally, Lara said, ‘At the end of the day, we are all human beings. It is very difficult to keep everyone happy all the time. If we are not untouched by celebrity trolling, then neither is the PM of this country. We all take it in our stride. You can’t step on eggshells just because you don’t want to upset one side or the other. Somewhere, you have to be true to your truth, what you believe in. PM Modi had given a statement pointing towards Congress
In the election rally held in Rajasthan, PM Modi had said in Hindi, ‘Earlier, when Congress was in power, they had said that Muslims have the first right on the country’s property. This means that they will distribute this property among the infiltrators who have more children. Should your hard-earned money be given to intruders? Do you agree with this?’ During this, Prime Minister Modi was pointing towards the reaction made by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in 2006. He said, ‘We have to make new plans to ensure that minorities, especially Muslim minorities, are empowered to share equally in the benefits of development. They should have the first claim on resources. These things were said by the former PM and PM Modi had hinted at them in the rally in Rajasthan.
