Ingredients for making Lauki Uttapam:

1 gourd, 1 beetroot, half cup curd, half cup semolina, 2 green chillies, salt to taste, 1 onion

How to make Bottle Gourd Uttapam?

  • Step 1: To make Lauki Uttapam, first wash the gourd with clean water. After washing, grate the gourd thoroughly.

  • Step 2: Now add half cup curd, half cup semolina, 2 green chillies, salt as per taste to the grated gourd. Keep this batter aside for 10 to 15 minutes.

  • Step 3: In the next step, turn on the gas and place the pan on it. When the pan becomes slightly hot, oil it. Now take the batter in a ladle and pour it on the hot pan. Spread it slightly in the round shape.

  • Step 4: Now add very finely chopped beetroot and onion on top of the uttappam. Add some coriander leaves too. Now bake the uttappam from both the sides. Your uttappam is ready. Eat it with chutney or sauce
