New Delhi. The first phase of voting for the Lok Sabha elections is going to be held on April 19. For this, the election campaign on 102 seats ended on Wednesday evening. The important seats where elections are going to be held in the first phase include Nagpur, Kanyakumari, Chennai Central, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Kairana, Pilibhit, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Jaipur, Chhindwara, Jamui, Bastar, Nainital and Lakshadweep etc. The elections for the 18th Lok Sabha are to be held in seven phases. The seats where voting is to be held in the first phase include Kaziranga, Sonitpur, Lakhimpur, Dibrugarh and Jorhat seats of Assam. First phase of voting on 19 April
According to the Election Commission, while the first phase of voting is starting from April 19, the last and seventh phase will conclude on June 1. Counting of votes will be done on June 4. Voting is going to be held on many important seats in the first phase of Lok Sabha elections. These include all 39 seats of Tamil Nadu. These include Kanyakumari, Chennai East, Chennai South, Chennai Central, Tiruvallur. Sriperumbudur, Arani, Viluppuram, Kallakurichi, Salem, Namakkal, Erode, Tiruppur, Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Pollachi, Dindigul, Karur, Tiruchirappalli, Perambalur, Kanchipuram, Arakkonam, Vellore, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Tiruvannamalai, Sivagangai, Madurai, Theni, Virudhunagar, Ramanathapuram, Cuddalore, Chidambaram, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Thanjavur, Thoothukudi, Tenkasi and Tirunelveli are included. Elections are also going to be held in the first phase on Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Kairana, Bijnor, Nagina, Moradabad, Pilibhit and Rampur seats of Western Uttar Pradesh.

Voting is taking place in the first phase only in Jaipur, Jaipur Rural, Bharatpur, Karauli-Dholpur, Ganganagar, Bikaner, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Alwar, Dausa and Nagaur of Rajasthan. Voting is also to be held in the first phase in Chhindwara, Shahdol, Sidhi, Mandla, Balaghat and Jabalpur of Madhya Pradesh. Talking about Bihar, voting is to be held in Aurangabad, Gaya, Nawada and Jamui on 19th April. In Maharashtra, votes are to be cast in Nagpur, Gadchiroli Chimur, Bhandara-Gondiya Chandrapur and Ramtek. Apart from this, votes will be cast in Bastar of Chhattisgarh, Udhampur of Jammu and Kashmir, Arunachal West and Arunachal East of Arunachal Pradesh, Shillong Tura of Meghalaya. Voting is also to be held in Manipur, Mizoram, Puducherry, Sikkim, Nagaland, Andaman and Nicobar West, Cooch Behar and Jalpaiguri of Bengal on Friday. According to the Election Commission, special arrangements have been made for the disabled and elderly at the polling stations.
