Mumbai. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has lodged a complaint with the Mumbai Police against Bharatiya Janata Party worker Tajinder Bagga for threatening to kill the party’s national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. An official gave this information on Friday. During an interview with a private TV channel on Wednesday, Bagga issued an alleged threat to ‘kill’ Kejriwal, saying, “Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha will not let him live.”
AAP’s national spokesperson Preeti Sharma-Menon said the statement came soon after the attack on the chief minister’s official residence in Delhi by BJYM workers like Tejashwi Surya and others.
Following the developments, AAP Mumbai working president Ruben Mascarenhas and AAP youth leader Aditya Manjrekar filed a complaint at the Juhu police station, demanding immediate action against Bagga.
He said, “Kejriwal is the author of a new revolution in Indian politics based on good governance, and his work in health, education, electricity and water has gained global fame. The BJP is in panic due to the recent Punjab Assembly election results. .As they cannot confront you politically, they resort to violent tactics and criminal intimidation.”
Sharma-Menon said that such open life-threatening to an elected Chief Minister of a state in the Republic of India is a serious issue that requires immediate intervention.
