new Delhi. During a dialogue called ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ with the students of the country and the world, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to the parents not to discriminate between son and daughter. Girls should also get equal opportunities of education.
Prime Minister Modi said that if the society lags behind in knowing the potential of daughters, then the country also cannot progress. He said that sometimes you must have seen such families where it is said that there should be a son so that it will be useful in old age. But history gives experience and I look at these things very closely. I have seen many such daughters who did not marry themselves to take care of old parents. These daughters gave their parents the love that no son could.
The Prime Minister said that I have also seen such families where there are four sons in the house and four sons have four bungalows. There is happiness but parents are living life in helplessness. That’s why I believe that the son and daughter should be equal in the society. There should be no discrimination between boys and girls, this is the imperative of today’s era.
Reminding Prime Minister Modi said that if we talk about governance, then the name of Ahilyabai comes. Remembering the daughters, the Prime Minister also mentioned about Rani Jhansi. The Prime Minister said that you will see that among the children who come to school today, more daughters come to school than sons.
He said that the whole of India is proud of the girls who have the passion to do whatever they can and we should give opportunities to the daughters. Even in sports, the daughters of India are making their name proud. Look at the field of science, today the names of the daughters of India are in the big achievements in science. If you look at the results of class X and XII, daughters are performing better than sons.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that in such a situation today daughter has become a huge asset for every family. There is Panchayati Raj system in Gujarat where 50 percent are elected sisters but the real situation is that after elections the total number of women elected becomes 52, 53, 54 percent. This means that the society also has more faith in mothers and sisters. When we are celebrating the nectar festival of independence, today the Indian Parliament has the highest number of women parliamentarians till date. It is being seen in the village that people who are educated daughters prefer to choose them. That is, the sense of respect for education is visible at every level in the society as well.
The Prime Minister quipped that the day may also come when men will protest that such percentage reservation should be kept for men in the post of teachers, because today there are majority of women in the field of teaching. The Prime Minister said that equal opportunities should be available to sons and daughters. Expressing confidence in the daughters, the Prime Minister said that I believe that if a son does 19 if given an equal opportunity, a daughter has the ability to do 20.
The Prime Minister also mentioned about vaccination. He said that the speed with which vaccination has taken place in our country is a record. Vaccination, especially of students, is a big deal. Students also showed great enthusiasm in this program and got their vaccination done.
At the Talkatora Stadium in Delhi, the Prime Minister interacted with the students, parents and teachers called ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’. During AAP, the Prime Minister said these important things about daughters.
The Prime Minister answered the questions of the students regarding the examination here. The Prime Minister said that why there is panic in your mind, are you going to take the exam for the first time. There is no one among you who is going to take the exam for the first time. You all have given many exams. You have reached the end of the exam. You must decide one thing that examination is a natural part of life. These are small phases of life that we have to go through and we have gone through it before.
The Prime Minister said that you do not get influenced by what you have heard. You don’t see what others are doing. Then you will be able to give the exam very easily with zeal and enthusiasm and will be successful.
