Indore, New Dunia Rep. On the occasion of Mahashivratri, a five-day Shiva marriage festival will be celebrated at the Gendeshwar Dwadash Jyotirlinga temple located in Pardeshipura. Ganesh Pujan, Mata Pujan, Mandap, Tilak, Haldi and Mehndi rituals will also be performed under the festival. Apart from this, there will also be incineration and the temple will also be decorated with thousands of lamps. There will also be worship of 1.25 lakh earthly Shivlings in the temple.
Rajesh Vijayvargiya told that on February 26, at 10 in the morning, the earthly Ganesha will be established. In this worship, all the deities including Ganesh ji will be invited to the Shiva marriage festival. Gendeshwar Mahadev will also be adorned in the form of Ganesh ji and there will be a special aarti at eight o’clock in the night. On February 27, Parthiv Kali Pujan, Navchandi Path and Sundar Kand will be recited. In the evening there will be aarti of Nakoda Bhairav ji. On February 28, at 12 noon, oil-turmeric will be applied to the Lord and women will also play Holi with Lord Shiva-Parvati with turmeric-gulal. Mehndi will be applied at 4 pm.
Bhasmari will be done at 4 in the morning of 1st March and after that Lord Shiva will be consecrated with a golden Kalash. In the evening, in the grand marriage mandap, Shankar-Parvati ji will be enshrined in the form of bride and groom. Tandav Aarti will be held at 8 pm. On March 2, Lord Shiva will be adorned with gems as a groom and offer dry fruits.
40 quintal fruit khichdi will be distributed by offering to Khajrana Ganesh on Mahashivratri
A meeting was held on Tuesday regarding the event to be held at Khajrana Ganesh temple on Mahashivratri. In this meeting held in the temple auditorium, it was decided that on the occasion of Mahashivratri, 40 quintals of fruit khichdi prasad would be offered to the devotees and distributed among the devotees. Falahari Prasad will be distributed from 9.30 am on March 1. This prasad will be distributed in both of 20 thousand leaves.
Collector and temple management committee chairman Manish Singh and temple administrator and municipal commissioner Pratibha Pal will start the work of distributing prasad by offering Phalahari khichdi to Ganeshji. Arvind Bagri of Bhakt Mandal said that in the meeting held on Tuesday, Municipal Commissioner Pratibha Pal took stock of the preparations for Mahashivratri festival. SDM Shashwat Sharma, Additional Commissioner of Corporation Ratnakar, temple priest Ashok Bhatt, Pt. Mohan Bhatt and Pt. Satpal Bhatt, Kailash Panch of Bhakt Mandal, Nitin Totla, Prakash Dubey, Mahesh Mishra were also present in the meeting.
