The main temples of the city, Shri Badwale Mahadev, Gufa, Jai Bhavani Temple, Pashupatinath Temple and other pagodas have been electrically decorated. The tableaux of Shiva and Parvati Mata will be decorated on this Maha Shivratri. There will be a crowd of devotees in the pagodas. Shiva’s consecration, Shiv Barat, Bhandars will be organized. This is the history of the temple: Sri Badwale Mahadev Temple of Kayasthapura is the oldest temple in the city. History is 200 years old. Earlier there used to be a garden. In which many species of trees were planted. One day a traveler Mahatma came to the garden and lay down to rest under the shade of a banyan tree. While taking a turn, his head hit a rock located at the root of the tree. He removed the soil around the rock. When he saw, he had a vision of Shivling. Then excavation was done for several feet around the Shivling, but their end was not found. After this the worship of God started here in the name of Baba Bateshwar Temple, which is going on till now. Now the temple is being rebuilt.
The tradition of taking out Shiv Barat continues: Every year a big program is organized on Mahashiviratri by Shri Badwale Mahadev Mandir Seva Samiti and Trust. The tradition of taking out the grand Shiva procession is going on since ancient times. Pramod Nema, a member of the committee, told that in the 21-day Mahashivratri festival, by law, Shiva and Parvati are married on Mahashivratri.
This will be the arrangement: Roads are being built around the temple on the occasion of Mahashavratri festival. The work will be completed by February 28. 50 officials, members and police of the temple committee will take care of the system.
Jai Bhavani Temple: The marriage of Baba Shri Bateshwar and Mata Parvati will be completed in the temple on the day of Mahashivratri on March 1. On Saturday, turmeric and mehendi were applied to Goddess Parvati. Temple President Ramesh Saini welcomed everyone. After that, by applying mehendi and turmeric to Goddess Parvati, the ingredients of suhaag were also distributed to the ladies present after the Maha Aarti.

Cave Temple: Preparations are in the final stages to celebrate Mahashivratri festival in the cave temple of Lalghati. The electrical decoration of the temple has been done. There will be more crowd of devotees on Maha Shivaratri. Due to Corona, large scale events were not organized for two years. This time a big religious program has been kept due to less corona. In this, Abhishek and Prasad will be distributed to Shiva.
Here is the history: The temple manager Lekhraj told that the cave was discovered in the year 1949 by Mahant Late Narayandas Tyagi. Shiva was found in the cave. The temple was rebuilt in 1964. Shiva is seated in the cave.

Pashupatinath Temple Govindpura : Temple committee chairman Vishnu Sharma said that preparations have been completed for Mahashivratri festival at Bhel Govindpura Pashupatinath temple. The electrical decoration of the temple has been done. Religious programs will start in the temple from Sunday, which will continue till March 1, Mahashivratri.
Here is the history: The temple was established in 1978 by the Nepali society. Pashupatinath temple has been built on the lines of Nepal. The Shivling was brought from Nepal itself and was enthroned. Durgaji, Ganeshji, Sun God have also been enshrined.
Here is the tradition: 108 girls walk five kilometers on foot filled with Gangajal. People of one thousand Nepali society are involved. There has been a tradition of holding seven to eight thousand huge Bhandaras. Five lakh cotton lights will be lit.
