New Delhi. Amartya Sen, one of the best economists in the world, is the country’s first economist to be awarded the Nobel Prize. Recently, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee was highly praised by him, due to which Mamta Banerjee looked very happy. Banerjee said on Monday that Sen’s advice was her order. Sen had said a few days ago that Trinamool Congress chief Banerjee had the potential to become the country’s next prime minister. Banerjee said that economists are world famous intellectuals and their knowledge shows us the way. His advice is an order to me. His knowledge and assessment of the current situation in the country should be seriously pondered by all.
Let us tell you that renowned economist Amartya Sen recently said that it would be a mistake to think that the 2024 Lok Sabha elections will be unilaterally in favor of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He said that the role of regional parties will clearly be important in the upcoming general elections. Noted economist said TMC chief Mamata Banerjee has the makings to become India’s next prime minister, but it is yet to be established whether the West Bengal chief minister has the power to draw on the forces of public disenchantment with the BJP.
Along with this, let us tell you that Amartya Sen clearly said in a special interview given to PTI, ‘I think the role of regional parties is clearly important. I think DMK is an important party, TMC is definitely important and Samajwadi Party also has some influence, but whether it can be extended, I do not know. He said that I think it would be a mistake to refuse to believe that any other party can replace the BJP, because it has positioned itself as a party which has seen a pro-Hindu bias compared to the rest of the country.
