However, this operation of the security forces failed when women reached in front of them in the form of a crowd. In such a situation, after apprehension of ruckus and bloodshed, the security forces had to release the 12 arrested militants.
The incident that took place on Saturday was informed by the Spear Corps of the Indian Army. It was told in this information that a search operation was conducted by the security forces in Itham village of Manipur. A statement has been issued by the Ministry of Defense regarding this. In this statement, it has been said that self-proclaimed Lieutenant Colonel Moirangtham Tamba alias Uttam was also among the 12 militants who were caught by the security forces. Tamba was the mastermind behind the 2015 attack on Dogra’s 6th Battalion. Now after this matter has come to the fore, an appeal has been made by the Indian Army to the people of Manipur to help instead of obstructing the legal proceedings.
