Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati is constantly reviewing her party’s defeat in the UP Assembly elections-2022. On Tuesday, he alleged that there is internal collusion between the SP and the BJP.
In a tweet, Mayawati wrote- ‘The internal complicity of SP and BJP in UP is well-known. He created an atmosphere of fear and terror here by making Hindu-Muslims in the assembly elections too, which misled the Muslim society especially and made a huge mistake of voting unilaterally for the SP. Only by improving which it is possible to defeat BJP here. In fact, the BSP supremo feels that his party’s defeat in the UP assembly elections is due to the polarization of Hindu-Muslim votes. Earlier, speaking on the party’s defeat, he had said that the entire vote of Muslim society shifted towards Samajwadi Party to defeat BJP. BSP got the punishment for this.
BSP is running in the worst phase
BSP is going through its worst phase in Uttar Pradesh. In 38 years of politics, this time the UP election results were the most unexpected for the party. The vote bank on which Mayawati continued to do politics on her own terms also seems to be slipping away. Today, the BSP supremo admitted that due to the one-sided voting for the SP of the Muslim community, many people, except the voters of their society, voted unilaterally for the BJP. Political experts say that the Dalit vote bank of the BSP, finding itself safe in the BJP, seems to be going with them. Even in the worst case, the BSP, which got 22 percent votes, could get only 12.08 percent votes in the 2022 elections. The party has won only one seat in this election.
BSP’s Dalit vote bank also got dented
When Kanshi Ram formed the Bahujan Samaj Party on 14 April 1984, his thinking behind it was to connect the Dalits and the Backward. But in the last 15 years, the graph of BSP has fallen such that the voting percentage has remained only 12.07 percent. This time it was clearly visible that BSP’s Dalit vote bank also got dented.
