Betul (Navduniya representative). The first batch of students admitted to class I under the Right to Education Act (RTE) have completed class VIII this year. For the last eight years, these children were studying in the city’s free English school. The government has made arrangements for free education under RTE till class VIII. Now these children are not being given admission in Navami after eighth. In such a situation, the children are on the road and the parents are so poor that they cannot educate the children in those schools where they have studied up to class VIII. On Monday, parents of children studying in RTE like Shiv Shankar Prajapati, Ansh Yadav, Sudhakar Dhadse, Hari Deshmukh, Kala Makode, Ganesh Dabhade, Manohar Pandagre, Kamlesh Soni, Geeta Davande, Raju Soni, Seema Mali, Priya Pawar, Lalita Davande, Aruna Malviya, Hari Deshmukh reached MLA Nilay Vinod Daga. The parents and children narrated their grievances to the MLA and said that their children are not getting admission in class IX after studying up to class VIII in a private school affiliated to CBSE in the city. Parents told that their children have studied under RTE, now for admission in Navami, it is being told by the school management that they cannot study further here. Now suddenly they will have to face many problems after changing the school. Where the medium of study will be from English to Hindi. At the same time, it will be difficult for these children to move from CBSE to MP Board. The marks of all these children are close to 80 percent. There is a demand of these children that they should be kept in this school even further and they want to study in this school till 12th standard. It is noteworthy that under RTE, there is a rule to teach 25 percent poor children in private schools. But this rule is for teaching only till class VIII, no decision has been taken yet to extend it till 12th.
In this matter, MLA Nilay Vinod Daga said that this issue will be drawn to the attention of the government so that the purpose of education of children under the Right to Compulsory Education Act can be fulfilled.
If the demands are not accepted, the pensioners will gherao the assembly
Betul. There is great dissatisfaction among the pensioners of the state due to the absence of mention of pensioners in the announcement made by the Chief Minister on his birthday. State President of Pensioners Association Omprakash Budhouliya issued a press release on Monday and said that four and a half lakh pensioners of Madhya Pradesh are struggling for their pending demands for years. Have given several memorandums to the Chief Minister. But Chief Minister Shivraj is not serious, he considers senior citizens as a burden and garbage. Pensioners are being given 14 percent less dearness allowance. Other states have given 31 percent to their pensioners. If the government does not take a decision soon, then on March 28, in every district of Madhya Pradesh, the students will organize a demonstration and will give a memorandum to the Chief Minister through the Collector.
