MP News: Bhopal (State Bureau). Vegetables and fruits grown in nutrition gardens set up in Anganwadi centers of Madhya Pradesh will not go to the market. Rather, it will be given to very malnourished, malnourished children, pregnant and lactating mothers, so that their plate is full of nutrition. The Department of Women and Child Development has issued instructions in this regard. At the same time, the District Program Officer and Project Officers have been instructed to monitor it regularly. They have also been asked to maintain the garden. Nutrition gardens have been set up in 96 thousand 135 Anganwadi centers of the state. In which a variety of vegetables and fruits are grown. Instructions have been issued so that the beneficiaries of the centers can fully utilize them.
Director of Directorate of Women and Child Development Dr. Ramrao Bhonsle informed that fruits and vegetables grown in the garden will be given to the beneficiaries of Anganwadi centers on priority basis. Apart from this, self-help groups preparing meals for the centers can also be given so that they can include these in the diet and the food is diversified.
This arrangement will be in addition to the regular breakfast and hot meals being provided. Bhosle said that nutrition gardens have been set up in Anganwadi centers across the country. It is being closely monitored by the Prime Minister’s Office. He has also sought a progress report from the district officials regarding the Poshan Vatika by March 2022.
‘Protection of vernacular languages is necessary, otherwise we will forget our language’
Bhopal. Folk languages are the mother of our civil languages and their protection is of utmost importance. Otherwise we will forget our languages. In the ceremony, Padma Shri decorated journalist Vijaydutt Sridhar said that the folk languages are the lifeblood of Hindi. To protect the creation of regional writers, it is necessary to make a gazetteer of vernacular languages. Here 24 litterateurs of the state were honored with various honours.
