Mumbai A new problem has arisen in front of MP Navneet Rana and her MLA husband Ravi Rana, who came into the limelight due to Hanuman Chalisa case. Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued a notice to him to demolish illegal construction in his flat in Khar, Mumbai. The BMC has said that the illegal construction should be demolished itself in 7 days, otherwise it will take action. The municipality has said that if the illegal construction is not demolished, then the flat owner can also be jailed for one month. Earlier also BMC had given notice to Rana couple on illegal construction. It is also a special thing that Shiv Sena is in control of BMC and outside the house of Shiv Sena supremo and CM Uddhav Thackeray, Rana couple had announced to read Hanuman Chalisa. After which the police arrested him and sent him to jail.
The BMC has sent a notice to the Rana couple on Saturday. It is written in this that within 7 days of receiving the notice, you are directed to remove the mentioned construction. Failure to do so may result in removal of the construction at your own risk and cost by the Corporation. You can be sent to jail for a term under section 475-A of the MAC Act. The term of which shall not be less than one month and may be extended up to one year. The BMC has also written in the notice that in case of illegal construction, a fine of Rs 5000 to Rs 25,000 and a fine of Rs 500 per day can also be imposed.
BMC has told in its notice that what illegal construction has been done by the Rana couple in the flat. It has been said in the notice that you have made a toilet by mixing the space next to the lift. The pooja room has been merged with the kitchen and has been made a living area. The sloping ceiling has been flattened and merged into the adjoining bedroom. The living room is divided into kitchen and bedroom. The bathroom on the south-west side has been merged with the bedroom and the two bedrooms on the west side have been merged into one. If all these constructions are demolished, then Navneet Rana’s flat will not be livable. In such a situation, questions are also arising that after the controversy of Hanuman Chalisa, how did the illegal construction of Rana couple finally be shown to BMC?
