Jaipur . The Chinese OPPO mobile company, which entered India seven years ago, has been named the country’s number one mobile brand by retailers across the country. But now OPPO has taken a jibe at the retailers by making its new K10 series smartphone available directly on the online platform at huge discounts. As a result, millions of mobile retailers are likely to be displaced. Mobile retailers have become aggressive as Chinese companies are doing unfair trade by defying all the rules of the central government. Sunil Gupta, Rajasthan State President of All India Mobile Retailers Association said that the retailers across the country held a one-day hunger strike in front of the distributors and company offices of Oppo on 27th April today.
Traditional retailers have been instrumental in OPPO’s success since its launch in India! Necessary promotion was done to take Oppo Mobile to the customers. Their representatives were given space by the retailers at their counters. He preferred Oppo with a bigger display. At that time, the company assured the retailers that our priority would always be the retailers. Now that it has become a brand, Oppo has cheated the retailers by changing its policies. The K10 series smartphones are made available for online sale only by the company. This will also cause huge loss to the consumers. Consumers in India want reliable services that only retailers can provide.
In such a situation, they come to the nearest retailer with confidence. However, a Chinese company like Oppo is following the policy of making the new smartphone available online only. The retailers have stepped in to thwart a conspiracy to defraud Indian retailers by handing over goods to foreign e-commerce companies. There will be a demand that at least 80 percent of the new K series smartphones should be made available to mainline retailers during the hunger strike.
Rajasthan State General Secretary Harnam Singh called upon all the mobile vendors of the state with the permission of the local police to conduct a peaceful and democratic protest outside Oppo’s Chinese and local distributor office today. The organization also warned that if OPPO did not take appropriate action even with a strike, it would retaliate more aggressively.
