New Delhi. Priyank Kanungo, the head of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, which is sensitive about the issues related to children, has written a letter, in which he has sought to take steps towards resolving the issues related to children. Kanungo said that in the past, the NCPCR team had visited many schools in the capital Delhi, where the post of Principal was vacant at many places. No effort was made on behalf of the Delhi government to fill this post. Kanungo said in his letter that out of 1027 schools located in the capital Delhi, only 203 schools have working principals. Kanoon said that out of 203 schools, 9 schools have headmasters, 3 schools have executive headmasters and 191 schools have principals.
Please tell that Kanungo has written two letters in this regard. In his first letter, he has urged to fill up the posts of teachers lying vacant in the school at the earliest. He wrote in his letter that the principal has an important role in providing quality education to the students studying in any school. The absence of the principal in a school has a negative impact on the safety of the students studying in that school. Kanungo further said in his letter that in schools where more than 100 students from class 6th to 8th are enrolled, the appointment of a full-time principal should be made mandatory in those schools. In the letter, Kanungo further said that taking cognizance of the matter at the earliest, steps should be taken in this direction.
At the same time, Kanungo mentioned in his letter to BJP leader Manoj Tiwari and said that the MP had visited Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya School, located in Timarpur, Sabzi Mandi, in the capital Delhi in the past. And during the tour many defects were noticed in the buildings of the school. According to the MP, these lapses can lead to major accidents. Kanungo has also attached in his letter a video shared by the MP in this context, about which he said that the video shows the flaws of the school. Taking cognizance of the above matter, the commission has now written a letter. Kanungo in his letter, keeping in mind the seriousness of the matter, has demanded the administrative officer to take appropriate action after taking cognizance of the above matter, so that the problems of the students can be resolved.
