New Delhi/Jaipur. The National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken cognizance of the alleged gang-rape of a 26-year-old woman at gunpoint in front of her children and husband in Rajasthan’s Dholpur district. NCW chairperson Rekha Sharma has written to the Director General of Police (DGP) of Rajasthan asking her to register an FIR against unknown accused.
The NCW has also demanded a time-bound inquiry into the matter and providing security to the victim. The Commission said that the action taken should be apprised to the Commission within 7 days.
A 26-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped at gunpoint in Rajasthan’s Dholpur district on Tuesday.
According to reports, when the victim was returning home from the farm with her husband and children on Tuesday, the accused allegedly stopped and thrashed the couple. Her husband ran away after being hit with a country-made pistol. Subsequently, the accused allegedly gang-raped the woman at gunpoint in front of her children.
