New Delhi. India’s javelin throw athlete Neeraj Chopra has created history today. He has brought laurels to the country by winning a silver medal in the ongoing World Athletics Championships 2022 in Eugene, USA. The special thing is that after 2003, that is, after 19 years, India has won a medal in this competition. Earlier, it was the first podium finish since Anju Bobby George won the bronze medal in the long jump in Paris. Although Neeraj Chopra definitely missed out on the gold, the gold medalist of the Tokyo Olympics created history by winning his first World Championship medal.
