New Delhi, . Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh said on the charge sheet of the Enforcement Directorate against Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi in the National Herald case on Friday that the Nehru-Gandhi family is a family who has only given the country and never took anything for themselves.
Digvijay Singh said during a conversation with news agency that since 1930, Allahabad or whatever property he had elsewhere, he dedicated it to the nation. There were three Prime Ministers from this family, yet not a single allegation of corruption was proved against him, the charge sheet filed by the ED on that family. This family did not transact money with all the institutions of National Herald.
The senior Congress leader said that the money trail (money transaction) is always seen in corruption. There is not a single example of money trail in this case. Since the Congress party opposes the NDA government sitting at the center, it is a devious attempt to suppress the voice of the Congress. Leaders who do not perform in Congress need to be identified.
On this statement of Rahul Gandhi, senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh said that it is absolutely right. Such leaders should be identified.
On the hearing of the Waqf Act in the Supreme Court, the senior Congress leader said, “I believe that the Supreme Court should take the matter with the same seriously as it has taken till now, and the unconstitutional law should be canceled.”
It is noteworthy that recently the Waqf law was passed with a majority in Parliament. The central government claims that this amendment will benefit the poor Muslims. The land will be brought back from the clutches of people who illegally occupy the Waqf lands. At the same time, the opposition is constantly opposing the Waqf law. The opposition says that the government wants to forcibly occupy the lands of Waqf. Several petitions have been filed in the Supreme Court against the Waqf law. The case was heard in the Supreme Court on Thursday. The next hearing will be held on 5 May.
