New Delhi. Justice Dhananjay Yashwant Chandrachud will now head the Supreme Court, replacing the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice C U U Lalit. He will take oath as the next CJI of the country on 9 November. Let us tell you that Justice Chandrachud will be the 50th Chief Justice of the country. His term will be till 10 November 2024. He will replace sitting CJI Justice UU Lalit. As is the rule in India, the President administers the oath to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, so President Draupadi Murmu has stamped the name of Justice Chandrachud. Justice Chandrachud will take oath as CJI on November 9.
