Companies received orders
Zomato co-founder and CEO Deependra Goyal said that on the evening of December 31, as many orders were received as in 15,16,17,18,19 and 20 combined. At the same time, Albinder Dhindsa, CEO of quick commerce company Blinkit, said that the number of orders received on Sunday (December 31) evening is the highest so far in a single day.
Apart from this, Swiggy CEO Rohit Kapoor said that the orders on Swiggy Food and Instamart on the eve of New Year have broken all records. In a separate post from his side, it was told that the orders on Swiggy have broken its previous record and it has even gone ahead of the World Cup final.
People gave great tips
On the occasion of New Year, people placed orders and also gave a lot of tips to the food delivery person who brought them. On behalf of Zomato’s Deependra Goyal, it was told that people have given a tip of Rs 97 lakh to the delivery partners of Zomato.
