Bhilai. Both the NJCS union and SAIL management are being cornered over the issue of designation of SAIL employees including Bhilai Steel Plant. While the employees are constantly raising questions about this, on the other hand, the local unions are also not behind in making it an election issue. In the meeting of the BSP Workers Union, the members took a dig at the members involved in NJCS from Bhilai on this issue and said that due to these, the expectations of the employees were being dashed.
A meeting of office bearers and members was held in BSPP Workers Union office. In this, the workers said that there are three leaders from Bhilai in the NJCS committee. Despite this, the voice of the employees is not being raised in the meeting of NJCS. For five years, the employees have been continuously agitating for the honorable designation. After his constant agitation, he was successful in getting an order from the Ministry of Steel regarding the designation.
The employees who are recruited as Operator cum Technician in Bhilai Steel Plant are struggling for the respectable post name. On the other hand, the recognized union has signed an agreement to change the designation name of the employees to OCT in all the works areas.
Now Senior Technician and Master Technician have also become Chief Master OCT and Master OCT. BSP Workers Union President Ujjwal Dutta, General Secretary Khubchand Verma, Deputy General Secretary Shiv Bahadur Singh, Co-ordinator S Girish, Pradeep Singh, Sandeep Singh and employees of the plant were present in the meeting with the employees.
NJCS leaders ruined the happiness
The BSPP workers union said that the NJCS leaders had ruined their happiness of the employees, which could have been resolved in a few days, a committee of NJCS including three labor leaders of Bhilai. At first it was hung for more than a year. After this, with half-incomplete consent, again sent to NJCS.
After that, the recommendation of Ministry of Steel has not been implemented even after almost more meetings with NJCS. The young employees told the BSPP workers union that more than the management, this central union is the hindrance in our campaign for designation.
