OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei’s company Nothing is all set to launch its first smartphone. Nothing Phone (1), the first smartphone from Pei’s technology startup, will launch on July 12 at 8.30 PM IST. The company is organizing an event in London which will be streamed live on nothing.tech. The event is named ‘Return to Instinct’. The company is telling this phone to be its most important product.
The company said in a statement that the ‘launch event is the real beginning of the journey of Nothing’. Also said that ‘an invitation to forget what the industry has taught us’. The phone will be made available in India on the e-commerce website Flipkart. The company has already confirmed this. Let us tell you that a microsite has also been made on Flipkart for the upcoming phone. Earlier, the company has launched Nothing Ear (1) TWS Buds under the Nothing brand. This earbuds got very good reviews.
Qualcomm chipset will be given in the smartphone. However, it is not yet clear whether the phone will have the top end Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Gen 1+ processor. Some leaks had claimed that the phone would come with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. However, the brand is emphasizing on the design of the phone, due to which this phone will be different from the rest. The phone will have a transparent design similar to Nothing Ear (1). Due to which the internal components of the phone will be clearly visible.
The design of the Nothing Phone (1) was revealed in a report by Wallpaper. Wireless charging support will also be available in the phone. The device will run on Android 12 OS based NothingOS. The company made the beta version of Nothing Launcher available for all phones running Android 11 and above. Apart from this, it was revealed in another leak that the sale of the phone will start on July 21 for 500 Euros (about Rs 41,519).
