Ola Electric Scooter Price Cut : Electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ola Electric on Monday cut the prices of all versions of its entry-level model S1X by Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000. With this price cut, this electric scooter of Ola has now come close to the traditional scooter models. Ola launched the S1X model in February this year at a starting price of Rs 79,999. The price of its most advanced version was kept at Rs 1,09,999.
Prices reduced with immediate effect
Anshul Khandelwal, Chief Marketing Officer of Ola Electric, in his online address said that the prices of this entry level scooter have been reduced with immediate effect and their supply will also start from next week. After the announcement of rate cut, the price of the initial version of this model has gone up to Rs 69,999. Whereas the price of the most advanced version will now be Rs 99,999.
Indians want cheap electric scooters
“We think India needs a lot more,” Khandelwal said. India needs a price at which consumers can actually adopt EVs.” He said that with an average electric scooter priced at Rs 1 lakh, the response from consumers has been that when its prices are at par with petrol scooters, If it happens then they will think about it. Keeping this opinion in mind, it has been decided to reduce the prices.
