Jagdalpur. The announcement of the Congress government of Rajasthan to implement the old pension scheme again by discontinuing the Contributory Pension Scheme applicable for officers-employees in government service on April 1, 2004 and after that has raised a ray of hope in the employees’ unions here in Chhattisgarh as well. .
The officials of the employees’ organizations say that they have full faith in the government of Chhattisgarh that on the lines of Rajasthan, an order for the restoration of the old pension scheme will be issued soon. Before the 2018 assembly elections in Chhattisgarh, the Congress in its manifesto has said to take a decision after considering the implementation of the old pension scheme. All the employees’ organizations in the state have been reminding the Congress’s promise to implement the old pension scheme by submitting memorandums from time to time to the state government and the Chief Minister.
All employee organizations have an opinion regarding this demand. Naiduniya discussed with the office bearers of some employee organizations and tried to know their views. Staff leaders said that Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is the public representative who takes decisions. In the last three years, the Congress government of the state has also taken many decisions for the working class, so it is natural to expect decisions in the interest of the employees. It may be noted that for the government servants appointed after April 1, 2004, the old pension scheme has been discontinued and the new contributory pension scheme has been implemented, which has been described as anti-employee.
Have faith you will get old pension
The Provincial General Secretary of State Clerk of Government Employees Union, Anil Thakur has said that the demand for restoration of old pension in Chhattisgarh is expected to be fulfilled soon. After retirement, keeping in mind the future of the employees and officers, the old pension should be implemented. Before the assembly elections, there was talk of considering the implementation of old pension. Hopefully the demand will be fulfilled soon. The salary anomaly of clerks should also be removed.
hope from the government
Kailash Chauhan, in-charge of Bastar division of Chhattisgarh Officer Employees Federation, says that the Congress government of Rajasthan has taken a big decision in the interest of the employees. With this, it is natural to increase the expectation of the Chhattisgarh government to take a decision on this matter. The state government should also take a decision in the interest of the employees and officers. Chouhan said that the government should announce the restoration of the old pension scheme in the upcoming budget session.
Historic decision of Gehlot government
Gajendra Srivastava, the divisional president of Chhattisgarh Officer Employees Federation, has described the decision of the Rajasthan government to give the benefit of old pension scheme to the government servants who joined the job after April 2004 as a historic step. Srivastava says that the news from Rajasthan is giving relief to such states of the country where government servants are being given contributory pension keeping them out of the purview of the old pension scheme.
Joke with the contributory pension future
Praveen Srivastava, Provincial Vice President of Chhattisgarh Teachers Association has said that the Contributory Pension Scheme, implemented from April 1, 2004, is no less than a joke with the future of government servants. There are continuous agitations all over the country demanding the closure of the contributory pension scheme and inclusion of all government servants in the old pension scheme. The decision of the Rajasthan government will serve as an example for other states.
I am sure the government will fulfill this demand here too.
Rajkishore Tiwari, the provincial vice-president of Chhattisgarh Teachers Welfare Association, said that his organization has been demanding the restoration of the old pension scheme by discontinuing the contributory pension scheme continuously for the last two years. The organization is doing the work of writing a letter to the Chief Minister in support of the demand of restoration of old pension scheme from the MLAs, MPs, other public representatives and office bearers of political parties. I have full faith that this government will fulfill this demand.
thousand rupees pension joke
Rajesh Gupta, District President of Chhattisgarh Teachers Association says that many employees involved in the Contributory Pension Scheme are getting less than one thousand monthly pension after retirement. Even after 30-35 years of service, the government servant is not able to be sure about the future. Government employees will feel secure about the future only when they are linked with the old pension scheme. There is a lot of expectation from the Chhattisgarh government that it will also follow the Rajasthan government.
Old pension is necessary for all
Shailendra Tiwari, District President of Chhattisgarh United Teachers Association has said that if the future of government servants will not be insecure, then how will they be able to contribute their hundred percent in good governance. For this, just as the benefit of old pension is being given to the government servants appointed before April 2004, similar benefits should be given to the employees appointed after this date. The present government of the state will definitely fulfill the demand because this government has taken many beneficial decisions for the working class in the past.
