New Delhi. A sensational case of beating of sadhus has come to light from Maharashtra. Where a sadhu who came from Uttar Pradesh was run and beaten up. The latest case is of Sangli in Maharashtra where people mistook sadhus as child thieves and beat them up. Giving more information on the matter, the police said that these sadhus were brutally beaten up, they are residents of Mathura. The sadhus had left for Pandharpur Darshan from Bijapur in Karnataka. However, no action has been taken on the matter as no complaint or FIR has been lodged from the side of the sadhus.
Beating the sadhus with sticks
The incident is of Lavanga village of Sangli tehsil. Where the sadhus who came to visit from Mathura in Uttar Pradesh stayed in a temple in the village. The sadhus sought help from a boy to start the journey and asked about the way. The villagers suspected that the sadhu was part of a gang that kidnapped the children. On the basis of this suspicion, some local people reached the temple and mercilessly showered sticks and sticks on the sadhus. The local people beat up the sadhus badly. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the police handled the matter and after investigating it came to know that the sadhus had come from Mathura in Uttar Pradesh and were going to visit Pandharpur from Bijapur in Karnataka. The sadhus were members of the Akhara of Mathura.

People did not understand the language of sadhus
Giving information on the matter, the police said that the villagers did not understand the language of the sadhus and they suspected that these people were part of the gang. On the basis of this suspicion, people started beating the sadhus. Let us tell you that this is not the first case when a case of beating of a sadhu has come to the fore in Maharashtra. Earlier in the year 2020, two sadhus were killed by a mob in Gadchinchle village of Palghar because they suspected that the sadhus had come to steal the child.
