IPL: As this season of IPL is progressing, the race for Orange and Purple Cap among the players is also becoming interesting. Players are competing to surpass each other. Meanwhile, after the match played between Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans on Wednesday, a huge change is being seen again.
Virat Kohli scored the most runs this season
The batsman who has scored the most runs so far in this year’s Indian Premier League is currently Virat Kohli. That means the orange cap is adorned on his head. But now Riyan Parag of Rajasthan has decided to challenge him. While on one hand Virat Kohli has 316 runs in 5 matches, Ryan Parag has also scored 261 runs in 5 matches. Riyan Parag’s strike rate is also better than Kohli.
Shubman Gill and Sanju Samson also moved forward
Meanwhile, Shubman Gill has captured the third position by scoring runs at a fast pace. He has now scored 255 runs after playing 6 matches. That means the gap between the second and third batsman is not much. Whereas Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson is at fourth place in the list after scoring 246 runs in 5 matches. Sai Sudarshan of Gujarat Titans has scored 226 runs in 6 matches and he has come at number 5 in this list.
Yuzvendra Chahal captures the Purple Cap
If we talk about Purple Cap i.e. the bowlers who have taken the most wickets, now Yuzvendra Chahal of Rajasthan Royals has arrived there. He has taken 10 wickets in 5 matches. CSK’s Mustafizur Rahman has moved to second place. He has 9 wickets in 4 matches.
