Twelve. A local Sikh trader from Tirah Valley in Pakistan distributed packets of dates and sugar among local residents as part of the ‘Ramadan Package’. This information has been given in the report of Express Tribune.
Local residents told The Express Tribune that Parlat Singh, a resident of Tirah Valley in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, distributed 200 kg of dates and sugar among the local residents this Ramzan as well.
He also donated 100 bags of cement for the construction of three mosques and also donated mattresses to the mosques.
It is worth mentioning here that charity is an essential part of Sikhism and members of the Sikh community regularly feed the poor in Peshawar and other parts of the province, especially during Ramadan.
Haji Sher Muhammad Afridi, president of the local traders association, thanked Perlat Singh for his charity services and the Ramzan package.
According to the Express Tribune, he said that the Valley is badly affected by the wave of terrorism and these people really need help. Today, Perlat Singh not only distributed food items but also donated cement for local mosques. Sikh community is an integral part of our society.
