Islamabad: Pakistan is refusing to share information related to providing diplomatic access to two Indian citizens. Let us tell you that Pakistani security agencies had arrested two Indians on charges of espionage. On Friday, Pakistan refused to share information related to providing consular access to these two Indian citizens and said that such facility has been provided ‘from time to time’. Pakistan Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mumtaz Zehra Baloch was asked in the weekly briefing about the information related to allegedly providing diplomatic access to two Indians arrested in Gilgit-Baltistan on charges of alleged espionage.
He said, “I will not share much information about this. However, the Government of Pakistan provides diplomatic access to its citizens to the Indian High Commission from time to time.” The Express Tribune newspaper reported in a report published earlier this week that Pakistani authorities allowed two Indian nationals arrested in 2020 on charges of espionage to meet their diplomats.
Arrest was made from Gilgit-Baltistan
Reports revealed that two persons from Jammu and Kashmir were arrested in Gilgit-Baltistan in 2020 on charges of espionage.
