A Pakistani soldier was shot dead by Indian soldiers while trying to cross the LoC in Keran sector of Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir. A senior army official said the intruder has been identified as Mohammad Shabbir Malik. He is a Pakistani soldier. The deceased could be a member of Pakistan’s Border Action Team (BAT – BET). BET members of Pakistan have been trying to infiltrate into Indian territory in the past.
Major General AS Pandharkar said, ‘As soon as we came to know about the infiltration, we shot the infiltrators. This move of Pakistan is a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement signed in February last year. One AK-47 rifle and seven grenades and other weapons were recovered from the deceased. India has asked the hotline to take the body of its soldier to Pakistan. The Pakistan Army has not commented.
“On Saturday evening, a man was seen with a weapon near the LAC in Pakistani territory,” Pandharkar said. After which his movements were constantly monitored and when he tried to enter the Indian border, he was shot. During investigation, a Pakistani identity card and a COVID vaccination certificate were recovered from him. This incident shows that Pakistan is continuously promoting terrorism along the Indian border. The country has been financially ruined in three and a half years of Imran government. On the other hand, the terrorists whom they are feeding, are now becoming a source of controversy for them. Despite this, the Pakistani army is still trying to infiltrate into other countries.
