Kyrgyzstan Bishkek Clash: The lives of Indian and Pakistani students who went to study in Kyrgyzstan are in danger. In Kyrgyzstan, local people have beaten three Pakistani students to death. Meanwhile, the Indian government has urged Indian students studying there to stay indoors amid attacks on foreign students in Kyrgyzstan. The Government of India has issued an advisory. India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has advised Indian students studying in Kyrgyzstan to keep in regular touch with the embassy.
Embassy is in touch with students
Given the situation in Kyrgyzstan, the Indian Consulate posted on Twitter: “We are in touch with our students. The situation is currently calm but students are advised to stay indoors for the time being and contact the Embassy in case of any problem. Our 24×7 contact number is 0555710041.
Why did the violence erupt?
No concrete reason has yet emerged as to why violence broke out against Pakistani students in Kyrgyzstan. There is also news of some Pakistani students being injured in the attack on the hostel of Pakistani students in Bishkek. According to media reports, students had a fight with some local people, after which violence broke out.
Police is deployed
According to ‘The Times of Central Asia’ newspaper, police have been deployed to prevent the angry crowd from gathering in the capital of Kyrgyzstan. It said the incident reflects tensions over the presence of many South Asian migrants in Kyrgyzstan. The number of Indian students in Kyrgyzstan is around 15,000 but it is not yet known how many of them are in Bishkek.
Students go to study in these countries

About 12 thousand Pakistani students are doing different courses here. Many Indian students are also living in this country.
