Indian soldiers posted on the border have been continuously crushing the nefarious antics of Pakistan. Yesterday also BSF got a big success. According to BSF Jammu Frontier IG DK Bura, the BSF unearthed an underground cross-border tunnel near the International Border in Samba district, which is suspected to have been used by two suicide bombers of terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed.
On May 4, around 5:30 pm, the soldiers who were patrolling got this success. During the search, bags of green colored sand were found from him. They were used to close the tunnel.
I extend my greetings for the success. The tunnel is 150m long; 100m from the border to the fence & 50m beyond. We have received success to foil the continuous efforts from beyond the border, especially keeping in view the upcoming Amarnath yatra: DK Boora, IG, BSF Jammu frontier pic.twitter.com/JoUY0ED0N9

News agency ANI quoted Bura as saying, “I congratulate you on the success. The tunnel is 150 meters long. 100 meters from the border to the fence and 50 meters further. We have been successful in thwarting sustained efforts from across the border. Keeping in mind the upcoming Amarnath Yatra, this has been a big success.
“It feels like a freshly dug tunnel,” he said. Still the search is on. About 11 tunnels have been found on this border since 2012. Sandbags are the same as they were before. The new thing is that no trace has been found on them. The name of Karachi is written on most of them.
Both the suicide bombers were gunned down by security forces after they attacked a CISF bus in Sunjwan area of Jammu on April 22. The cross-border tunnel has been detected about a fortnight after the said incident. This is the first such structure discovered by the BSF under the International Border in the last 16 months, taking the number of such tunnels unearthed in the past decade to 11. Last year, the force had unearthed two tunnels in the Hiranagar sector of Kathua district in January.
The official Twitter handle of BSF Jammu Frontier tweeted, “Today, alert troops of BSF Jammu detected a tunnel near Samba International Border Area, thwarted Pakistan’s nefarious designs.”
“A newly dug tunnel was discovered in front of the Pakistani post Chaman Khurd (Fiaz), 150 meters from the international border and 50 meters from the border fence,” an official said on condition of anonymity. Which is 900 meters from the Indian side.
He said that its beginning is about 300 meters from the border post Chak Fakira and 700 meters from the last Indian village. The BSF has launched a massive operation to detect any tunnels along the International Border (IB) after the encounter on April 22 in Jammu’s Sunjwan area.
