Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif told President Joe Biden on Sunday that Pakistan attaches great importance to relations with America. Sharif, in response to Biden’s letter, said that Pakistan wants to work together to achieve the common goal of global peace and prosperity of the region. By the way, it seems ridiculous for Pakistan to talk about global peace. But Shahbaz has given this assurance to Biden. Let us tell you that US President Biden had written a letter to Sharif assuring that America would stand with Pakistan to deal with the “most serious global and regional challenges”.
Sharif has responded to Biden’s letter. In his first communication with the new government of Pakistan, the US President said that “the enduring partnership between our countries remains vital to ensuring the security of our people and those around the world.” “Together, we will continue to build a strong partnership between our countries and close people-to-people ties,” Biden’s letter to Sharif released by the US Embassy here last week said.
Sharif said this
In a message issued by the Prime Minister’s Office in response to the US President’s letter, Sharif said: “Pakistan is keen to work with the US towards the common goal of global peace and security and development and prosperity of the region.” He said Pakistan attaches “great importance” to its relations with the US. Sharif said the two countries are working together in energy, climate change, agriculture, health and education sectors. (Language)
