Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif
Islamabad: It is not difficult to understand how a country that is infamous for promoting terrorism will fight against terrorism. Now when terrorist organizations are continuously active and attacking in Pakistan, the Pakistani government is worried. Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has pledged to ‘eradicate terrorism’ from his country. When and how this resolution of Shahbaz Sharif will be fulfilled will be known only with time. At present, it does not seem that Pakistan has any effective policy to fight terrorism.
Seven soldiers including the captain died
Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has taken this resolution a day after seven soldiers, including a captain, were killed in a terrorist attack in the troubled Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. On Sunday, terrorists attacked a convoy of security personnel going towards Sarband Post, Kachhi Qamar in Lakki Marwat district.
Shahbaz Sharif expressed grief
Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif wrote on the social media platform ‘X’, “I am deeply saddened by the martyrdom of Pakistan Army soldiers including a Captain in the terrorist attack in Lakki Marwat district.” He said, “The sacrifice of our brave soldiers and civilians is a debt on us which we have to repay by eliminating terrorism from our country.”
Lakki Marwat is the stronghold of TTP
According to Pakistani officials, Lakki Marwat is a stronghold of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists. Pakistan is facing a resurgent terrorist organization (TTP), which reportedly has a strong presence in Afghanistan. It uses the territory of Afghanistan to hide, train and launch cross-border attacks. Pakistan has been constantly pressuring Afghanistan to take action against this terrorist organization, but so far no effect has been seen.
