Actually, the Indian Medical Association had filed an application in the Supreme Court. The Indian Medical Association had questioned the advertisement made by Patanjali Ayurveda on its claim of treating serious diseases. Hearing this, the Supreme Court had ordered Patanjali Ayurveda not to print advertisements. Even after this, advertisements of Patanjali Ayurveda were published. On which the Supreme Court had expressed displeasure. The Supreme Court had sent contempt notice to Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna. To which both of them did not even reply. After this, the Supreme Court had recently issued a notice to him asking him to appear.
On the application of the Indian Medical Association in the Supreme Court, Baba Ramdev had earlier said that if he has done wrong, he is ready to be hanged. Baba Ramdev said that if the court finds it wrong, it should impose a fine of thousands of crores. Now that the Supreme Court has taken a strict stand and asked him and Acharya Balkrishna to appear, Acharya Balkrishna has appealed to the country’s biggest court for pardon. Now it remains to be seen whether the Supreme Court takes contempt proceedings forward in this case or forgives the misleading advertisement case.
