Beijing: Pakistan Occupied Kashmir i.e. POK now itself seems to be slipping from Pakistan’s hands. The people of PoK have started a big movement against Pakistan and its army. People have started driving away the Pakistani army from their areas. The people of PoK are now demanding their inclusion in India. This has created a stir in Pakistan. PoK now seems to be out of Pakistan’s hands. Therefore, Pakistan has reached out to China for help.
Pakistan’s newly appointed Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar reached Beijing on Monday on a four-day official visit. During this, he will meet the top leaders of China and both the countries will co-chair the bilateral strategic dialogue. According to the news of Pakistan’s official news agency ‘Associated Press of Pakistan’, Dar, who is holding the charge of the Foreign Ministry, was received by Director General Ambassador Wang Fu Kang and Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi. Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement ahead of Dar’s visit that Dar will meet top Chinese leaders and comprehensively review bilateral relations, including the upgrading of the billion-dollar China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project. However, Pakistan has not revealed on which other secret issues including PoK it is going to negotiate with China.
Ishaq Dar on visit to China amid turmoil in PoK
As soon as there was a stir in PoK, Ishaq Dar has taken shelter in China. He will co-chair the fifth Pakistan-China Foreign Minister Strategic Dialogue with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi, the statement said. According to the statement, the two sides will comprehensively review Pakistan-China bilateral relations, including economic and trade cooperation. They will also review high-level exchanges and visits, upgrading of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and future connectivity initiatives. The two foreign ministers may also discuss the possibility of Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Beijing. India has opposed the CPEC, which connects Gwadar port in Pakistan’s Balochistan province to China’s Xinjiang province, because its route passes through Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. (Language)
