new Delhi. State-owned oil marketing companies (OMCs) on Friday hiked the prices of petrol and diesel for the third time this week. These prices were changed for the first time after a gap of more than four months.
Indeed, crude oil rates saw an increase due to the Russia-Ukraine crisis.
In New Delhi, the price of petrol and diesel was once again increased by 80 paise per liter.
As per the pump prices, petrol now costs Rs 97.01 per liter and diesel Rs 88.27 per liter in the national capital.
On Wednesday, the price of petrol in Delhi was Rs 97.81 per liter and diesel to Rs 89.07 per liter.
In the financial capital Mumbai, the price of petrol and diesel was increased by Rs 112.51 per liter to Rs 96.70 per liter.
In addition, the prices of both the transport fuels were raised in Kolkata. The price of petrol has increased to Rs 107.18 and diesel to Rs 92.22 per liter.
Its prices were also increased in Chennai. There petrol now costs Rs 103.67, while diesel is priced at Rs 93.71 per litre.
Fuel prices remained stable from early November till Tuesday, when the Center reduced excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs 5 and Rs 10 per liter respectively.
