After a long wait of two years, a meeting of Research Advisory Committee (RAC) was called by Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya for these candidates on Monday, which has been postponed till date. Due to this, the confusion of the candidates has increased. The university administration may call a meeting in March. But the officials have not clarified the situation yet. By the way, a meeting of the Departmental Research Committee has come to the fore after the meeting went ahead. Due to this, seats in yoga are expected to increase.
The university conducted the DET-19 exam in December. Result released within a month. In the subject of Yoga, 48 out of 80 candidates were able to qualify the exam. Due to the arrival of the first wave of Corona, in March 2020, the process related to PhD had to be pushed forward by a few months. As such, the course work of all subjects started in July. But the candidates got angry due to lack of course work in the subject of Yoga. When the information was extracted, there was not even a single seat in the faculty. After this, the selected candidates expressed their displeasure in front of the university officials and said that they have mentioned about four seats in the advertisement of DET 19. Then he prepared to take refuge in the court.
Meanwhile, the university administration hastily created a Board of Studies in the Faculty of Yoga, but now a new controversy has arisen due to the absence of a guide. Later, the PhD of the scholars was completed under some PhD guides. After the seats became vacant, now a meeting of RAC was called, but on Sunday night the meeting was postponed. Due to this, these candidates will have to wait a little longer to start the research work. At present, the university has not announced the RAC new date yet.

The number of people getting PhD in Yoga subject in the university is very less. According to sources, the Departmental Research Committee (RDC) has also been convened on Monday, in which the PhD of some researchers has been completed and after the submission of the thesis, they have been interviewed. In this case, some researchers have viva. After this the number of seats for PhD in Yoga may increase. That is, in the next few days, four seats may become vacant. Meaning next time RAC will be for about 8-9 seats. Those who do PhD in Yoga will get the benefit.

Dr. Vijay Babu Gupta, head of DET, says that a meeting of RAC was called in the Faculty of Yoga, which has been postponed due to some reasons. The new date of the meeting will be announced in the next few days, which may take ten to fifteen days.
