Friend Vaibhav tells that although Akashdeep’s idol is the great Sachin Tendulkar, he is inspired by Australian fast bowler Brett Lee. Although Brett Lee was a fast bowler, Akashdeep is a medium pacer and bowls at a speed of up to 145kmp/h. His average speed is 136kmp/h. Despite this, he makes the ball swing in and out like Brett Lee. He also bats well in the middle order.

Vaibhav told that Akashdeep had also scored 13 wickets and 46 runs in the two matches between England and India A. It is believed that on the basis of this performance, Akashdeep has been selected in the team for the remaining matches of the ongoing home Test series with England.

Vaibhav tells that he himself used to bowl with deuce ball and Akash used to bowl with deep tennis ball. He told that in childhood we used to roam around and play in different cities. Akashdeep’s bowling, batting and fielding were all good. Due to Vaibhav’s efforts, Akash Deep reached Kolkata in the year 2013 to take training. But during this period, when his father died, he came back to Bihar. Within 6 months his elder brother also died. He took training at Sourav Ganguly Cricket Academy.

After two deaths at home, mother was not sending him back to Kolkata to play. But after Vaibhav’s tireless efforts, the mother agreed. There he was admitted to Sourav Ganguly’s Cricket Academy. Then, when Akashdeep was selected in United Club in 2016, he attracted everyone’s attention by taking 42 wickets in the very first year.

In the year 2018-19, Akashdeep was selected for the Mustaq Ali tournament. Since 2019, he has been continuously playing different matches for Bengal including Ranji, Vijay Hazare, Mustaq Ali, IPL. Plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL. Mother and sister-in-law live at home. Akashdeep became the highest wicket taker in the country in the Ranji Trophy of the year 2023. He also runs Vaibhav Akash Cricket Academy at two places.
