Rohit Sharma is only the second player in IPL history to touch the figure of 250 matches. In the 17-year history of IPL, only MS Dhoni (256) has played more matches than Rohit.

The record of playing most matches in IPL is in the name of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Dhoni has played 256 IPL matches. Rohit Sharma and Dinesh Karthik are currently at second place with 249-249 matches. Rohit Sharma will convert 249 matches into 250 as soon as he faces Punjab Kings. Virat Kohli (244) and Ravindra Jadeja (232) are at fifth place in the list of playing most IPL matches.
