New Delhi. PM Narendra Modi has said that the name of Lord Shri Ram is imprinted on our national consciousness. In an interview given to America’s prestigious magazine Newsweek, PM Modi said that the life of Lord Ram set the outline of thoughts and values in our civilization. Modi said in his interview that the name of Lord Ram resonates in every corner of the holy land of India. He said that the consecration of life in Shri Ram’s temple was a historic opportunity for unity for the country. Modi said that the construction of Ram temple was the result of centuries of determination and sacrifice.
Modi said in an interview with Newsweek that this celebration gave the people of India an opportunity to celebrate the second Diwali. He said that the construction of Ram temple brought the people of the country together. Modi said that the way every house was illuminated that day with the light of Ram Jyoti, he considered it a divine blessing. Modi said that the name of Lord Ram resonates in the country, that is why he performed a special ritual of 11 days and made a pilgrimage to the places where Shri Ram had visited. Modi said that when he was asked to participate in the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha, he knew that 140 crore Indians would represent those Indians who had been patient for centuries for the return of Lord Ram Lalla.
PM Modi had participated in the consecration of Lord Ramlala in Ayodhya on January 22 this year. It was at the hands of Modi that the Ram temple of Ayodhya was inaugurated. Modi was the chief host at this consecration ceremony. Before consecrating the Ram temple, Modi had also performed puja in the temples of various states with which the life of Lord Ram was associated. Although the opposition parties did not accept the invitation for the consecration of Lord Ram Lalla saying that it was a political program of BJP and RSS, people across the country were very excited. Even today lakhs of devotees are coming to Ram temple every day. This shows the faith in Lord Ram in India.
