Before the Lok Sabha elections, the issue of election donations or electoral bonds has become very hot. The Supreme Court has repeatedly reprimanded the State Bank of India in this matter and has asked the Election Commission to share all the information related to it. PM Modi answered the questions asked on this issue during an interview for a YouTube channel. PM Modi said – Tell me what have I done that caused me to be set back, I firmly believe that those who are dancing on this are definitely going to repent.
there are flaws in the system
PM Modi said, in all the elections held before 2014, political parties must have incurred expenditure in those elections, so should any agency tell from where the money came to the parties, where was the money spent? Modi created electoral bonds, so everyone is able to know where the money was taken, where it was given, who took it and to whom. Otherwise how would we know how what happened? Today you are getting trails. The PM said that no system is perfect, there can be shortcomings in it and the shortcomings can be rectified, if there was a bond then we would know where the money went.
ED works independently
When the PM was asked a question regarding ED, he replied that what you are saying, was ED created after our government came to power? We have made the law of PMLA. ED is independent, neither do we stop it nor do we send it. He has to work independently. We have nothing to do with this matter. ED has 7000 cases and less than 3 percent of the cases are related to politics. They recovered cash worth Rs 35 lakh, Rs 2200 crore, the agency’s operations are not leaked, heaps of notes are being seized.
Congress should follow the advice of seniors
The PM said that at some places money is being held in washing machines and at other places money is being held in pipes. Rs 300 crore seized from Congress MP, bundles of notes are being found at the homes of ministers in Bengal. ED does not take action unless some other agency registers the case.
PM Modi said for Congress that I do not consider myself a Teesmar Khan who goes around giving advice to anyone. There are senior people within Congress too and if Congress starts listening to those senior people then perhaps it will be beneficial for them and Congress will also be benefited.
