Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reacted for the first time to the question of support from Pakistan to former Congress President Rahul Gandhi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Speaking on the support that Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal are getting from Pakistan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that this Lok Sabha election is India’s and India’s democracy is very mature. He said that there are healthy traditions here and the voters of India are also not the ones who get influenced by any actions from outside.
‘I don’t know why some people like Pakistan’
PM Narendra Modi said that I do not know why there are only a few people who are liked by those who are our enemies, why there are only a few people in whose support voices are raised from there. He said that now this is a serious matter of a big investigation. PM Modi further said that I do not think that from the post I am sitting on, I should comment on such issues but I can understand your concern. PM Modi, without naming Kejriwal, targeted him and said that those people who earlier used to say put Sonia Gandhi in jail, put so and so in jail, are the same people shouting now.
Former minister Fawad Chaudhary had joined Congress and supported Kejriwal
Let us tell you that recently on the day of voting for Lok Sabha elections in Delhi, Chaudhary Fawad Hussain, who was a minister in the Pakistan government, had said that he would vote in support of Arvind Kejriwal. However, Kejriwal immediately reacted to Fawad’s statement and said that there is no need for his interference in India’s internal matters and he should first try to improve the situation in his country. A few days ago, Fawad had also tweeted in support of Congress. Let us tell you that 6 out of 7 phases of Lok Sabha elections have been completed and voting for the seventh and last phase will be held on June 1. (IANS)
