After the Twitter account was hacked, during the night between 2:11 and 2:15, two tweets were made regarding bitcoin, in which Prime Minister Modi has been accused of offering a bitcoin giveaway. Due to the incident, the cyber cell and the security agency have gathered for the investigation.
Tweeting on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Twitter account @narendramodi at 2:11 pm, it was told that India is officially buying 500 bitcoins and distributing it among the people. However, after 2 minutes this tweet was also deleted. As soon as the information about the hacking was received, the cyber department secured the account of the Prime Minister and also removed the tweets about bitcoin. Social media users had described this hacking as the work of bitcoin mafia.
After this incident, people feared that cryptocurrencies would soon be banned. However, at present, the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team has been formed to find the hackers. Who are trying to find the source of the hackers.
