Balaghat. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Balaghat today i.e. on 9th April. He will hold a huge rally here in support of BJP candidate Bharti Pardhi. His rally is going to be held in Balaghat, the Naxal-affected parliamentary constituency of Mahakaushal, hence the security here is tight. He will address the public meeting at the Government School of Excellence grounds at 2.30 pm. However, rain may become a hindrance during his visit. In fact, on the evening of April 8, there was a strong storm, rain as well as hailstorm. Because of this, life here has become disrupted. Apart from this, the venue of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s program got flooded. Here the banners and posters of the Prime Minister and other leaders flew away and fell. Along with these posters, the roof of a pandal was blown away.
It is noteworthy that Balaghat city also received heavy rain along with a strong storm late in the evening on 8th April. Especially in Sarekha village of Paraswada area of Balaghat district, the havoc of nature was seen late on Monday evening. Uncountable hailstorm caused havoc here. House cables broke. The electrical wires became disorganized. Big trees fell down at many places. Common life has been badly affected by this. According to the villagers, the hailstorm was so severe that a foot high sheet of snow was spread on the ground. According to the Meteorological Department, cyclonic winds have started becoming more active. Apart from this, a Western Disturbance is also active in North India. Due to this, the weather pattern has changed once again in the state. According to experts, there is a possibility of change in the weather till April 10.
