PMAY in Madhya Pradesh: Bhopal (State Bureau). The home entry of 50 thousand beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) is going to happen today. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will do Bhumi Pujan of 30 thousand newly approved houses along with conducting home entry in the program to be done through video conferencing. During this, an installment of two hundred and fifty crore rupees will be deposited in the account of 26 thousand 500 beneficiaries for the construction of houses. The Chief Minister will also interact with the beneficiaries during this period. Urban Development and Housing Minister Bhupendra Singh has informed that eight lakh 68 thousand houses are approved under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the state.
Of these, four lakh 72 thousand have been made and the work of construction of the rest is going on. Beneficiaries of one lakh six thousand 500 houses will be benefited on Wednesday. The estimated cost of each house is Rs.3 lakh 85 thousand. In this, one and a half lakh rupees are being given by the central and one lakh rupees by the state government.
